Hai sobat, di kesempatan kali ini saya ingin berbagi tentang fungsi dari macam-macam tool yang ada di Adobe. Seperti Ini adalah ringkasan singkat dari palet Alat Photoshop dengan deskripsi fungsi, dan cara pintas masing-masing alat dan di artikel kali ini saya menggunakan Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Move Tool (V), untuk memindahkan, memilih dan mengembalikan layer objek yang kita pilih pada situasi normal
Rectangular Marquee Tool (M), untuk menyeleksi atau memilih dalam bentuk kotak atau persegi.
Elliptical Marquee Tool, untuk menyeleksi atau memilih dalam bentuk lingkaran.
Single Row Marquee Tool, untuk menyeleksi lebar 1 pixel secara horisontal.
Single Row Marquee Tool, untuk menyeleksi lebar 1 pixel secara vertikal.
Lasso tool (L), untuk menyeleksi atau memilih bagian tertentu sesuai yang kita inginkan dan ini sifatnya custom.
Polygonal Lasso Tool, untuk menyeleksi atau memilih objek tertentu sesuai keinginan, tapi tool ini hanya bisa mengambil garis lurus saja atau bagian yang bersudut.
Magnetic Lasso tool, sama seperti tools sebelumnya. Namun, Magnetic cara kerjanya dengan menempel seperti magnet pada tepian objek yang ingin diseleksi dan otomatis akan melekat sesuai gelap terangnya objek tersebut.
Quick Selection Tool dan Magic wand tool, untuk memilih secara cepat suatu foto sesuai gelap terangnya.
Crop tool, untuk memotong keseluruhan canvas sesuai kebutuhan kita.
Slice Tools, untuk memotong hasil desain menjadi potongan yang lebih kecil, biasanya untuk optimasi gambar website.
Slice Select Tools, digunakan untuk menyeleksi bagian yang kita pilih dengan slice tool.

Spot Healing Brush Tool, untuk memperbaiki kekurangan dari foto atau gambar tanpa mengambil sebuah sempel, seperti menghilangkan jerawat misalnya.
Healing Brush Tool, untuk memperbaiki kekurangan dari sebuah foto atau gambar berdasarkan sebuah sempel yang sudah kita ambil dengan menekan Alt sesuai area yang mau kita ambil sempelnya.
Patch Tool, untuk mengoreksi kekurangan pada foto atau gambar yang dimainkanhanya pada area yang dipilih
Content Aware Move Tool, pixel yang dipilih dapat dipindahkan dari satu area ke area lain
Red Eye Tool, untuk mengoreksi atau menghilangkan warna merah pada mata karena efek kamera.
Brush tool, untuk mewarnai atau memulas bagian tertentu, dan juga memiliki plug- in berupa gambar dan dengan brush tool ini juga bisa membuat gambar atau templet.
Pencil Tool, sama seperti Brush Tools namun dengan efek goresan seperti layaknya sebuah pensil.
Color Replacement Tool, untuk mengubah warna dengan tetap mempertahankan tekstur aslinya.
Clone stamp Tool,untuk mengcopy suatu objek yang kita inginkan serta untuk menambahkan atau memperbaiki kualitas suatu foto atau gambar dengan cara tekan Alt lalu stamp di bagian yang kita mau perbaiki.
Pattern Stamp Tool, stamp dengan pola pattern, di option bar kita bisa memilih banyak pilihan pattern.
History Brush Tool, untuk mengembalikan brush dari status riwayat yang sudah kita lakukan atau kerjakan.
Art History Brush Tool, memberikan Brush menggunakan history dari gaya objek yang sedang kita kerjakan.
Eraser Tool, untuk menghapus bagian gambar dengan mengeklik atau menarik sesuai yang kita inginkan.
Background Eraser Tool, menghapus warna dengan sampel menjadi transparan.
Magic Erasel Tool, menghapus piksel berwarna serupa dengan mengklik bagian tersebut.
Gradient Tool, untuk membuat campuran warna lembut dua atau lebih.
Paint bucket tool, untuk mewarnai sebuah layer yang kita sudah kita seleksi.
Blur tool, untuk membuat bagian objek tertentu menjadi samar atau blur.
Sharpen Tool, berfungsi untuk mempertajam warna pada objek.
Smudge Tool, untuk menarik suatu gambar seperti layaknya cat air.
Doodge Tool, berfungsi untuk membuat terang objek atau kontras.
Burn Tool, untuk menggelapkan objek .
Sponge Tool, mengatur warna jenuh atau saturation.

Pentool, untuk membuat Path tepi lurus, melengkung ataupun bersudut sesuai objek apa yang akan kita buat.
Freeform Pen Tool, untuk membuat Path sesui jalur tangan kita, di sini kelihaian tangan sangat berpengaruh.
Add Anchor Point Tool, untuk menambahkan titik ke jalur yang sudah kita pen tool.
Delete Anchoor Point Tool, untuk mengurangi titik di jalur yang sudah kita pen tool.
Convert Point Tool, untuk mengonversi titik-titik di jalur sudut sesuai desain kita.
Horizontal Type Tool, berfungsi untuk membuat tulisan pada objek dalam bentuk Horizontal.
Vertical Type Tool, berfungsi untuk membuat tulisan pada objek dalam bentuk Vertical.
Horizontal Type Mask Tool, berfungsi untuk membuat seleksi tulisan dalam bentuk Horizontal.
Vertical Type Mask Tool, berfungsi untuk membuat seleksi tulisan dalam bentuk vertical.
Path Selection Tool, untuk memilih objek vektor secara keseluruhan, biasanya tool berguna saat kita menggunakan shape dan pen tool.
Direct Selection Tool, untuk memilih titik objek vektor sesuai jalur.
Rectangle Tool, untuk membuat lapisan shape dalam bentuk persegi.
Rounded Rectangle Tool, Untuk membuat lapisan shape dalam bentuk bulat yang tersudut.
Ellipse Tool, untuk membuat Shape dalam bentuk Lingkaran.
Polygon Tool, untuk membuat Shape dalam bentuk polygon.
Line Tool, untuk membuat lapisan atau jalur shape dalam bentuk Lurus.
Custom Shape Tool, membuat lapisan atau jalur bentuk kustom yang sudah ada di option bar.

Hand Tool, untuk memindahkan atau menggeser sebuah gambar atau obyek yang sudah kita perbesar, biasanya untuk melihat detail.
Zoom Tool, untuk memperbesar dan memperkecil document objek.
Foreground and Background Color, seperti gambar di atas untuk memmbuat warna bacground dan foreground sesuai keinginan kita, dan tanda kecil di atas untuk merubah mode default hitam dan putih.
Quick Mask Mode, bagian ini berfungsi untuk menggambarkan area gambar atau foto yang sebelumnnya sudah kita seleksi dengan masking
