Ada beberapa penyebab menimbulkan masalah ini diantaranya adalah :

Penyebab Pertama : Informasi yang ingin Anda sisipkan tidak cocok dengan format format (Tanggal, Mata Uang, Teks, atau format lainnya) pada suatu cell di kolom.

Cara Memperbaiki : Jika Anda mencoba paste sebagian besar data, pastikan format cell untuk cell di kolom sudah sesuai dengan format data yang ingin Anda sisipkan, lalu tempel satu kolom data satu per satu.
Cara merubah format cell pada kolom adalah :
1. Klik judul kolom (A, B, C, dan sebagainya) untuk kolom yang ingin Anda ubah.

2. Pada tab Home, klik menu kotak Number Format

3. Klik format cell yang sesuai dengan data yang ingin Anda paste .

Penyebab Kedua : Tidak ada cukup kolom untuk menerima data informasi yang ingin Anda paste.

Cara Memperbaiki : Masukkan lebih banyak kolom, lalu coba paste lagi.

Masukkan kolom tambahan

1. Klik judul kolom (A, B, C, dan sebagainya) untuk kolom di sebelah kanan di mana Anda ingin menambahkan kolom.
2. Pada tab Home, klik Insert.

3. Kolom yang awalnya Anda pilih bergeser ke kanan dan kolom baru muncul.

Ulangi langkah 2 sampai Anda memasukkan jumlah kolom yang Anda inginkan.

Jika dengan kedua cara diatas, tidak mengatasi masalah error “microsoft excel cannot paste the data “ Ikuti cara dibawah ini :

Klik File
Pilih Options
select the Advanced section, lalu gulir ke bawah pada bagian “Display options for this workbook’ Atur ‘For objects, show:’ pilih ‘All‘ . kemudian klik Ok.
