If you are using Facebook from your PC you can pin a post on Facebook with the steps below:

• Open Facebook.com and login to your account.
• Once you login to your account, beneath Explore click Pages.

• When you click Pages, Liked Pages tab will be opened by default. To see a list of your Facebook pages, click Your Pages tab.

• Then click on the FB page you wish to pin a post on.

Once you are logged in to Facebook, you can also open the Facebook page directly from its URL. For example, I could have open iTecGuides’s FB page directly with this URL – Facebook.com/itechguides1.

• When the page opens, locate the post you wish to pin to top. Then click the 3 dots on top of the post.

• Finally, on the drop-down that is displayed, click Pin to top of page.

• The post will move right to the top of your page. A pin icon will be displayed on top of the post as well. To unpin the post, click the 3 dots above it. Then click Unpin from top of post (see the second image below).

How to Pin a Post on Facebook from a Mobile Phone

If you are like most people you probably use Facebook from a Smartphone. You can also pin a post on Facebook from your phone.

As at the time of writing this guide, Facebook App for Android or iPhone does NOT have the option to pin a post to top of page. From the FB App, when you click on the 3 dots above a post, these are the only available options.

Due to this limitation, this guide will demo how to pin a post on Facebook using a browser on your mobile device.

Here are the steps.

• From your mobile device, open Facebook.com and login to your account.
• Once you are logged in to FB, click the 3 lines on the top right corner of the page.

• Then click Pages.

• Finally, click on the FB page you wish to pin post on.

• When the page opens, locate the post you want to pin to top. Then click the 3 dots on top of the page.

• To pin the post to the top of the page, click Pin to Top.

• The page will be pinned to the top of the page. The highlighted icon will now be on top of the post as well.

• To unpin the post, click on the 3 dots on top of the post. Then select Unpin From Top.
