How do I change permissions on Facebook Business Manager?

  • I have been trying to add a “book now” button on my business page. I use another site for bookings and i am trying to connect it. Every time i click “connect another tool”, once click the booking site i would like to connect, i get a message saying “Admin Permission Required – You don’t have permission to edit these settings. Reach out to the admin of ‘____’ to gain access.” —
I am already the manager / admin on the page itself and on the business suites. I have assigned all assets on business suites to my page. I do not know where else to look to give access to my page to add this button. I checked to see if anything is connected from instagram but i have already disabled the connection since i am keeping both pages separate now. Can any body help with this? It is driving me crazy.

  • Facebook lets businesses create pages to interact with customers and advertise products and services. Business pages come with default security settings that make the page visible to all users and lets users create posts, upload photos and add videos to the page. Page administrators have the ability to change the security settings and limit the page's visibility, set age and location restrictions, change posting abilities and block profanity or other unwanted keywords in posts.

    1. Log into your Facebook page, then click "Edit Page" under your page's name in the left pane. Click "Manage Permissions" in the list of settings in the left column.

    2. Click the "Only Admins Can See This Page" check box if you want to make the page invisible to those browsing Facebook and disabling access to both the public and your fans.

    3. Type one or more country names in the "Country Restrictions" field to allow or deny access to visitors from specific countries. Click "Only Show This Page to Viewers in These Countries" to allow access, or "Hide This Page From Viewers in These Countries" to deny access.

    4. Click the "Age Restrictions" drop-down list to restrict access to members in a specific age group. Select "Anyone (13+)" to allow all ages, or select "People 17 and Over," "People 18 and Over," "People 19 and Over" or "People 21 and Over." Select "Alcohol-Related" to restrict your page to members of the legal drinking age in their own countries.

    5. Click the "Wall Tab Shows" drop-down list to allow visitors to see posts from both the company and visitors, or to only display posts made by the company. Click the "Default Landing Tab" drop-down list to select the tab you want members to see when they first visit your business page.

    6. Click or clear the boxes next to "Posting Ability" to enable or disable posting permissions. The available options restrict users from writing on the page's Wall, from adding photos, from tagging photos and from adding videos.

    7. Type each restricted keyword, using a comma to separate each, in the "Moderation Blocklist" section. Any post containing a restricted keyword gets marked as spam. Click the "Profanity Blocklist" drop-down list to block profanities on the page. Select "None," "Medium" or "Strong" for the desired protection level.

    8. Click "Save Changes" to apply your updated security settings.
