There are times when you are unable to upload or import a large-sized database in cPanel. The issue will not resolve even after you increase the php.ini file post_max_size, upload_max_filesize, memory_limit. The solution to this problem is to scale up the MySQL database upload limit of PHPMyAdmin or, in other words, increase max upload size of PHPMyAdmin.
To Increase Max Upload Size of PHPMyAdmin
1. Log in to your root account of the WHM panel.
2. Select Server Configuration from the navigation menu.
3. Click on Tweak Settings.
5. Do the same for
the cPanel PHP Max upload size field.
The system will take some time to apply these changes, depending on the server conditions. You can confirm if the changes are in effect by accessing your phpMyadmin.
You will now have no issue uploading the database.

Hello and thanks for asking. If you have VPS hosting, you can do this in WebHost Manager (WHM) > Tweak Settings > cPanel PHP max upload size.
Otherwise, you can edit your PHP.ini file.

Here is what you can do in your WHM to increase the file upload limit:
Table of Contents
- 1 Go to the Tweak settings in your WHM
- 2 Find the “cPanel PHP Max upload size” change it according to your needs
- 3 Find the “cPanel PHP Max POST size” change it according to your needs
- 4 Save changes.

Go back to your phpMyadmin and check the value. It should be changed and you are able to upload the database now.
